Inspired by images of dragon scales\u2014probably from a fantasy movie\u2014I created a pair of large mugs featuring a scale pattern and a rustic, handmade feel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I made the scales pointy to distinguish them from those of fish and snakes. If I were to make them again, I\u2019d try larger scales with a slightly different overlapping pattern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
