For this planter, I wanted to play with the tension between heavy, deliberate lines and a dense, opaque glaze.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The carving process was physical and intense\u2014deeply gouging the clay to create those jagged, rock-like textures at the base. It felt less like pottery and more like sculpting a mountainside.
