This piece was a labor of love in layering. I wanted to capture the contrast between the quiet, steady gaze of the horse and the wild, fiery energy of its mane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

- The Palette:<\/strong> I used cool, stony greys for the profile to create a sense of calm, set against a “fire-and-amber” mane of oranges and golds.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- The Process:<\/strong> Achieving that sense of movement in the hair requires a lot of fine brushwork and patience with underglazes, ensuring the colors stay vibrant through the firing process.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
