I envisioned this vase as an abstract dusk\u2014a captured moment of a sun dipping behind a hazy horizon. To find that feeling, I moved away from machines and returned to the rhythm of my own hands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Beauty of Imperfection<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The decoration was a physical dance. I manually spun the vase<\/strong> while using a handheld atomizer<\/strong> to layer the glaze. Unlike a machine-sprayed finish, the manual atomizer doesn’t create a perfectly smooth layer. Instead, it leaves behind a textured, stippled spray. I leaned into these imperfections; they give the piece an authentic, gritty mood<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
