A collaboration with Tiny Mud
For this latest series, my daughter (tiny.mud) took to the wheel and threw a beautiful collection of mugs and bowls for me. Having her provide the “canvas” gave me the perfect opportunity to focus entirely on experimenting with carving and glazing. I had a blast playing with different application techniques—layering glazes, brushing, and dabbing to…
From the Kiln to the Cover: A Very Special Spring Sale
There is a specific kind of magic that happens when a piece leaves the studio and starts a life of its own. Usually, that means finding a home on someone’s dining table or mantle. But this week, one of my pieces took on a slightly different job—as a “spokes-horse” for our local pottery community! I…
Deep Forest Magic
I spent hours with these pieces. The rhythm of the carving become a form of meditation. There’s something so peaceful about the way the forest-green glaze eventually settles into those grooves like moss over stone. I love how they turn out.

My Experience with Underglaze on Bisque vs Greenware
Well , why not? The plate was bisque fired already. I am reading contradicting advises on internet about whether underglaze shall be applied on green ware or bisque ware. The application experience is definitely different. I had done both and honestly on a plate I dont see any problem or difference. I usually use speedball…
Red Frame mug
I had crafted a red frame carved on a small pot and glazed it with a flux glaze. It looks alright but not great. I havr been wondering what is wrong. Finally I get it. It wasnt painted Thatis what is wrong. So I painted this one. It is relatively small compare to my other…
Gnome needs a home
And he found one.
Black Dragon Plate
Exploring a minimalist dragon-silhouette design on a plate. A plate works well as a canvas because it’s much easier to manage. I also tried another dragon style that’s completely different, and I’ll post it soon.
